Review Topic: Other Experience

I've been there for Biometrics, and I'd like to share my experience.
That was no problem for bringing my phone in the office even though I asked the offier. People working there were not nice, but so quick for processing all petitioners in the waiting area.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived an hour and a half early and decided to head down to a Walgreen nearby to get more photos as evidence (because why not?). When we got back, we will had over hour before we could check in so we sat in my car for a bit. 35 minutes until the interview, we finally went in.

It was a very quiet building with barely anyone around. Check in was easy. Please remember to bring your passport and ID. I can't stress that enough!

Even though our interview was at 9:40AM, we didn't get seen till almost 10:15AM! Our interviewer kept poking fun at me for being so nervous!

He didn't even look at any of the evidence we brought in. He just asked my husband his parents' name and date of birth and questions from the adjustment of status packet. Then they had a conversation about tea vs coffee. And that was it! We had a stack of evidence and we were told to put it away!

We had our green card interview today! It took 11 months from mailing out our adjustment of status from the K1 visa to get to this interview today!

For those in Orlando--your time will come! The office is super slow! I saw a sign that says they do not take walk in!

The interview was easy, they were running about 30 minutes late. They made us get a second immunization screening and physical exam since they took so long to process the case since the original exam expires in a year, another 350$ wasted because they took too long.

Very easy and straightforward interview. We were called into the office 10 minutes after going through security and inpatiently waiting in the lobby. The immigration officer was very polite and cordial. He came out a closed door, called our names and greeted us into his office. Once there, only 3 questions were asked; how we met, where we met and when we got married, nothing else. The officer had all our thick files in front of him. I assume he had examined them before we entered the office since they were wide open on his desk. The officer wasn't intimidating, unfriendly or unsympathetic. He was very friendly, talkative and pleasant. After the few questions asked, he typed in the computer for a few minutes and then congratulated us saying we been approved. He happened to be bilingual (English/Spanish) and said we wouldn't need the translator we had brought along. Overall, a very quick, smooth and painless AOS experience.
